Watsonville’s Rebollar named to USL Championship’s Team of the Week

SEASIDE—Monterey Bay F.C. forward Adrian Rebollar earned a spot on the bench on USL Championship’s Team of the Week for Week 20.

The Watsonville native earned his league top-18 honor for his performance on the pitch last Saturday night’s 2-0 win over New York Red Bulls II for the Union’s third consecutive clean sheet.

Rebollar recorded a game-winning assist on the night’s opening goal by setting up an opportunity for Simon Dawkins inside the box.

Rebollar finished with a 74.1% overall pass success rate and an 81% pass success rate in the opponent’s half of the pitch.

He also recorded eight duels won, five interceptions, three chances created, three fouls won and one blocked shot.

Below is USL Championship’s full Team of the Week for Week 20 lined up in a 3-4-3 formation:

  • Defenders: Tony Leone (Las Vegas), Manny Perez (Louisville), Paco Craig (Miami)

Monterey Bay F.C. is 2-1-2 in the last five games and it secured eight out of a possible 15 points.

Next up, the Union hit the road to Leesburg, Va. this weekend to visit Loudoun United FC on Saturday at Segra Field. Kickoff is set for 4:30pm and can be streamed live on ESPN+.
