WATSONVILLE — Four Watsonville teens were arrested Monday after allegedly burglarizing a residence on Lakeview Road, abandoning their vehicle near Watsonville High School and then fleeing across the school’s campus, according to Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Sgt. Steven Ryan.

The incident caused Watsonville High School officials to briefly lock down the campus as police and sheriff’s deputies searched for the juveniles, all of whom are 16, Ryan said.

The suspects abandoned a gray GMC Yukon on a median at the intersection of Blackburn and Bridge Streets.

Investigators recovered all of the stolen property, Ryan said.
