WATSONVILLE — Watsonville Police are hoping they can reunite hundreds of stolen items with their owners during a public viewing on Nov. 14.
On Oct. 26, Watsonville Police served a search warrant at a Watsonville residence and found a trove of more than 200 items at two residences, many of which are from known burglaries.
Investigators found the items, along with 20 pounds of marijuana and more than two-dozen guns, in two residences belonging to Jim Rodriguez, 41.
Rodriguez was charged with being a felon in possession of firearms, possession of ammunition and burglary tools and possession of stolen items. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Too numerous to list in their entirety, the items include musical instruments, laptop computers, iPads, construction equipment, televisions and dozens of bicycles.
“There is so much stuff, we haven’t had a chance to run all the serial numbers,” Watsonville Police Officer Saul Valadez said.

Anyone who wants to see the stolen items to see if any are theirs can come to gate two of the Watsonville city yard at 320 Harvest Drive on Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Potential owners must bring proof of ownership, which can include photos.
