Santa Cruz Police are investigating a report of shots fired Monday evening in a parking lot near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Police said officers responded to reports of shots fired on the evening of Aug. 3. No one was struck by the gunfire, and no injuries were reported.
A Reddit user said that the Boardwalk was evacuated, and that several people began to scatter and scream.
Authorities said there is no active threat to the public, and the scene has been secured.
No arrests had been made as of Monday night, and the investigation remains ongoing.
