WATSONVILLE — Police are looking for two suspects who stabbed a man Wednesday after robbing him, Watsonville Police Sgt. Mish Radich said Thursday.

According to Radich, two unknown men approached the victim, a 30-year-old male, in the parking lot of the Walgreen’s pharmacy at 1810 Freedom Blvd. at about 12:50 a.m.

One of the suspects took the victim’s backpack before stabbing him, Radich said.  Both suspects then fled in an early- to mid-2000s beige GMC or Chevrolet Suburban onto Freedom Boulevard in an unknown direction.

The victim was treated at the scene, and then flown to a Bay Area trauma center for a non-life-threatening stab wound to his torso.

Officers searched the area but did not find the vehicle. They collected evidence at the scene and reviewed surveillance video footage.

The victim was not a Walgreens customer, but had been loitering in the parking lot when the incident occurred, Radich said.

The suspects were described as Hispanic male adults in their 20s and 30s.
