Paul Leslie Berry, age 71, known as “Bear”, died February 6, 2018 of heart and kidney disease.
He was born September 20, 1946 in Watsonville, Santa Cruz Co., California to Paul K. Berry and Garnet L. (McCandless) Berry. Paul was a Vietnam veteran serving from1966-1968. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Retiring from the Golden Gate Bridge after 22 years and moved to Fernley, Nevada, where he enjoyed retirement for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Louita R. (Clemons) Berry; daughter, Rachel L. Berry; son, Emmet L. Berry; and three grandsons: Calvin L. Chisholm, Lucius F.B. Chisholm and Samuel P. May and great- granddaughter, Evelyn Rose Chisholm.
The service will be held March 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way, Fernley, Nevada. Friends and family are invited to enjoy food and conversation at the “Celebration of Life” to begin at 3:00 pm at Restoration Church, 4120 US Hwy 50E, Fernley, Nevada. In lieu of flowers we would like funds donated to the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, P.O. Box 1919, Fernley, NV 89408 in Paul’s name for planting of trees at the cemetery.
