The No. 9-seeded Cabrillo College Seahawks had their season come to an end in a 77-60 loss to the top-seeded City College of San Francisco Rams in the third round of the CCCAA playoffs on Saturday night.
The Coast Conference South co-champions finish their season at 17-11 overall.

• Cabrillo 5, Mission 3 – Josh Rodriguez tossed seven solid innings to lead the Cabrillo College Seahawks to their second consecutive win on Sunday.
Rodriguez allowed seven hits, three earned runs and three walks, while striking out five. Tyler Biersdorff notched the save after two innings of relief.
Cooper Smith and Jonah Shabry doubled.
Smith also had a trio of singles, a scored run and an RBI for Cabrillo (5-14), which begins Coast Conference Pacific division action today at Skyline College at 2 p.m.

• Cabrillo drops two – The Cabrillo College Seahawks lost a double-header to Reedley College on Sunday.
Brianna Lamb had three hits and an RBI in a 10-2 loss.
Micaela Decker smacked a two-run double in the Seahawks’ 5-4 heartbreaker.
Cabrillo (4-10) hosts Hartnell College today at 3 p.m.

• Cabrillo starts strong – The Cabrillo College Seahawks opened up their season with a pair of sweeps over Delta College on Friday afternoon.
Mari Molina and Alex Bol (21-10, 21-8), Haley Hall and Kylie Kvam (21-17, 21-8), Paige Schieferstein and Jolie Samuelson (21-19, 21-11), Kendra Lisa and Alena Fernandez (21-8, 21-10) and Ellie Cary and Amanda Meserve (21-12, 21-18) won in the Seahawks’ first dual.
In the second dual, the teams of Molina and Bol (21-20, 21-16), Hall and Kvam (21-12, 21-8), Schieferstein and Samuelson (21-9, 21-7), Kathryn Field and Ari Rodriguez (21-8, 21-12) and Lina Fiso and Alex Weber (21-10, 21-15) picked up sweeps.

HS BEACH VOLLEYBALL
• Aptos picks up two – The Aptos High Mariners swept Harbor High, 5-0, and beat Santa Cruz High, 4-1, in Sunday’s beach league action at Main Beach in Santa Cruz.
Against Harbor, Aptos’ teams of Jillian Rodriguez and Cam Dueck (21-14, 21-17), Lauren Picone and Paige Dueck (21-14, 21-19), Chloe Manor and Braelynn Westjohn (21-12, 21-15), Ava Riccabona and Emilia Jaffe (21-5, 21-15) and Carissa Kloepfer and Alana Patyk-Randa (21-0, 21-5) won.
Rodriguez and Dueck (21-9, 21-10) and Picone and Dueck (21-12, 21-16) picked up wins against Santa Cruz. The Mariners also won two matches by forfeit against the Cardinals.
