Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies detain one of two men Wednesday on Freedom Boulevard at Corralitos Road on suspicion of carjacking. Watsonville Police Sgt. Brian Ridgway said a Sheriff’s deputy spotted a newer model Honda Accord parked at Alladin Nursery and Gift Shop that had been reported in a carjacking earlier Wednesday at the corner of Green Valley and Holohan roads. After canvassing the area, just past noon police from the Sheriff’s Office and Watsonville Police tracked down two male suspects. The incident is still under investigation.
