WATSONVILLE — A 47-year-old man was arrested today for his involvement in an attempted murder on Riverside Road in Watsonville in June.
At 1pm Wednesday Edgar Ayala was arrested on the 2700 block of Freedom Boulevard by Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies, with the aid of Watsonville Police Department, said Ashley Keehn of the Sheriff’s Office.
Several days after the June 23 shooting, Ayala was identified as the suspect. He was arrested without incident.
He was booked on multiple charges, including attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
His bail has been set at $325,000, Keehn said.
