Church gains early lead for Monterey County District 2 supervisor

MONTEREY COUNTY—Voters in Monterey County Supervisor District 2 are leaning toward Glenn Church, with 58.8% of voters choosing him over opponent Regina Gage.

Church is a lifelong resident of North Monterey County who owns and manages Church Christmas Tree Farms. He is the founder of Pacific Coast Soils, which has since closed.

Gage is executive director of Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley, and has worked with several nonprofits. She serves as Vice President of Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System Board of Directors.

This story will be updated.

  1. congratulations, Glenn! I am glad I endorsed you early and I look forward to working with you as a member of the Cabrillo board of trustees. our districts overlap. I want to bring the good word as to what Cabrillo college has to offer for your constituents in Northern Monterey County. You have great wisdom and good common sense that will benefit your residents from what I observe as years of neglect from the incumbent.
again, I write this as ONE member of the Cabrillo board of trustees, and not speaking for the college.
