WATSONVILLE — Traffic on southbound Highway 1 was snarled for several hours Tuesday morning after a dump truck overturned at the Buena Vista exit and struck a light pole at about 6:18 a.m.

The driver suffered minor injuries, California Highway Patrol Sgt. Grant Boles said.

Police on Tuesday were still investigating the cause of the rollover. Boles said that speed is thought to be a factor.

There were at least two residual collisions in the area.

The exit was closed for about two hours as crews removed the truck and other debris from the scene.
