WATSONVILLE — Laura Lara died peacefully at her Watsonville home on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018. She was 49.

She was born to Felicia and Raynie Medrano on June 23, 1968 in Watsonville. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing board games with them. She was known for her laughter, her stories, her smile, and her random “hellos” at the front door, and her text messages about what’s for dinner? But most of all, her text messages telling her family all in her own way, how much she loves us.

She is survived by her children, one daughter, Rachelle; five sons, Ruben, Ryan, Jose, Martin, and Manuel Lara; six grandchildren; her parents, Felicia and Raynie Medrano; and two brothers, Jaime and Raynie Medrano.

Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Sunday, Jan. 28 from 5-9 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 7 p.m. Burial will be on Monday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. at Valley Public Cemetery.
