August 17, 1952 – January 3, 2019

Lorenzo Luna, Jr., 66, of Wilson, NC, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at home surrounded by his closest loved ones.

Lorenzo was raised in Watsonville, CA by the late Lorenzo Sr. and Eusebia Luna.  He was a retired Gunnery Sergeant with the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War.  Family was a very important part of his life and he will be deeply missed by those left behind.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Surirat Luna of Thailand; his three children; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 10th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC.  His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 11th, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 700 Nash St., Wilson, NC, followed by entombment with Military Honors in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  Following the entombment, a catered gathering will be held at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home.
