The American College of Radiology (ACR) inducted Roger S. Eng Jr., M.D., M.P.H., as a fellow during a convocation ceremony at the 89th ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership conference April 21-25 in Washington, D.C.

Eng is the son of former Los Altos Councilman Dr. Roger Eng and his wife, Sylvia.

Eng Jr. is chief of radiology at the Chinese Hospital in San Francisco and president of the Golden Gate Radiology Medical Group in Orinda.

He is a member of the ACR, the San Francisco Medical Society, the California Medical Association and the California Radiological Society. Eng earned his medical degree from The George Washington University.

One of the highest honors the ACR can bestow on a radiologist, radiation oncologist or medical physicist is recognition as a fellow. ACR fellows demonstrate a history of service to the college, organized radiology, teaching or research. Approximately 10 percent of ACR members achieve the distinction.

The ACR is a national nonprofit association serving more than 34,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists.
