A man uses a large umbrella to guard himself from the rain Wednesday in Watsonville. The rain continued, on and off, throughout the day, under cooler temperatures. A little more rain is expected today and Friday, said Steve Anderson, meteorologist with the National Weather Service of Monterey. Anderson said the moisture is coming out of the west. “There will more significant rain possibly Tuesday and into Wednesday next week,” Anderson said. “This is essentially the start of the rainy season.”
