Traffic is narrowed to one lane on Soquel Drive in Aptos Friday. John Presleigh, director of the county’s Public Works department, announced that work on Soquel Drive, from Trout Gulch Road intersection to 200 feet south of Aptos Street intersection, will be closed between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday due to road repairs. The road closure is necessary for repairs caused by winter storm damage along Soquel Drive at Aptos Street. A detour route will be put in place. The project is expected to continue through Dec. 15. For up-to-date information on roads in Santa Cruz County, visit www.sccroadclosure.org.
