Boys soccer: Watsonville beats Menlo-Atherton, 3-0, in Homestead Christmas Cup final
Sophomore forward Jael Leal got the scoring started in the 62nd minute, junior midfielder Eric Vasquez added the second score five minutes later on a beautiful weaving drive and Angel Luis Hernandez scored the final goal in the 78th.

Ruiz this season won the Pacific Coast Athletic League Cypress division championship, took second in the CCS Division I race and advanced to the California Interscholastic Federation state meet for the second straight season.
