After losing a heartbreaker to the Watsonville High Wildcatz a week ago, the St. Francis Sharks decided to avenge the win that slipped away by producing an impressive rushing performance of their own on Friday.

St. Francis (19-7) will play No. 4 Palma High on Wednesday at Washington Park in Santa Clara for a spot in the D-III section final. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Win or lose, first or last, Watsonville’s boys and girls cross country teams will advance to the Central Coast Section meet no matter how they perform at Saturday’s inaugural Pacific Coast Athletic League cross country finals.
