M.V.C., Ann Sobrato – Cancelled: The non-league game between Monte Vista Christian and Ann Sobrato High was canceled due to a power surge at Mustangs’ Stadium, which caused the stadium lights to go out.

According to M.V.C. athletic director Matt Coleman, the school attempted to turn the lights on but they did not work properly, which resulted in the game to be called off.

“As of now, we’re playing a nine-game season,” Coleman said.

Coleman said the two schools couldn’t come to an agreement for a rescheduled date and will now have to give up one game in a 10-game season.

The Mustangs (0-0) hit the road to play against N.M.C. on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in non-league action.
