Jack Gordon for Superior Court Judge
On March 3, voters will have the opportunity to select Jack Gordon, an exemplary candidate for Superior Court Judge, who has a long term history and breadth of public safety, legal and community service experience that sets him apart. Jack has served as a police officer and deputy sheriff locally. He has worked as a defense attorney in private practice, representing juveniles and adults in criminal matters, and personal injury, immigration and civil cases clients in local and federal courts. Jack has also worked in an administrative law role as chair and member of the Santa Cruz Civil Service Commission for over ten years. He has participated in direct and volunteer service for the County Alcoholism Advisory Board, Women’s Crisis Support, Little League, Student Moot Court, Lions Club and more. I have known Jack and his family for over 30 years, he is the right choice for Superior Court Judge. Please join me in voting for Jack on March 3.

Improving vision beyond 2020
One can say that:
• The growing homelessness situation is a product of a ridiculous growing wage disparity
• The growing frequency of being able to jog faster than the “progress” of freeway traffic is a product of improper transportation
Please Google, “The growing wage disparity” (Fifield)” as well as “Public Transportation: If you build it (properly), they will come.” The world is a complex system of interacting factors that may not provide equability. Why is a sports figure making $40 million in a year when they cannot even play for their value? How can it be justified for our country to allow one individual to (maybe inadvertently) suck essentials from thousands presenting much better value? Also, if only a fraction of just the Exxon’s previous CEO’s $170 million package was better distributed, thousands more deserving could have their homes back.
We need better leadership to stop this growing negative impact on Quality-of-Life. We can start locally by voting Manu Koenig to first district supervisor. Manu has a better vision for tomorrow.

Jack Gordon should be the next Superior Court Judge
As a colleague, I have had a front-row seat for over 15 years, watching Jack Gordon in action as an attorney.
What I saw is why I am enthusiastically endorsing Jack for judge. Everyone always knows that Jack is trustworthy, reasonable, knowledgeable, and always focused on what is truly important.
I often go to Jack for advice for the same reasons which I believe will make him a great judge: He does not see justice as being binary but instead as a holistic process in which not only the litigating parties but also our society and the community all having a vested stake in defining “what is justice.”
His decision making will always be geared toward achieving justice for all and his communication skills will embody “sense and sensibility.” Santa Cruz County will be very well served by having Jack Gordon on the bench.

I urge the Santa Cruz County community to vote for attorney and former Deputy Sheriff Jack Gordon to be the new Superior Court Judge.
