Emergency workers struggle to extricate a female juvenile from a smashed-in car Wednesday on the 2600 block of Freedom Boulevard. California Highway Patrol officer Jesus Ruiz said a female driver plowed into the rear of a Toyota Prius with a male driver and his daughter as a passenger at 4:40 p.m. Ruiz said the Toyota driver was attempting a left turn from southbound Freedom Boulevard when a woman driving a VW Tiguan smashed into the rear of the Toyota. The female Toyota passenger suffered moderate injuries and the VW driver had minor injuries. The incident is still under investigation.
