The St. Francis High Sharks postponed their Saturday afternoon football game against Soquel High to a further date because of poor air quality from the ongoing fires in California's Wine Country, the school announced on Saturday morning.

Fourteen local players were selected for tonight’s 34th annual Central Coast High School All-Star football game at Rabobank Stadium in Salinas.

The reigning Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League champion, Aptos is only a couple wins away from once again capturing the league title. With all but one starter back from last year’s squad, Aptos was expected to cruise through the league. And while the Mariners are not taking any team during the final stretch of their league season for granted, they are eagerly awaiting for the real measuring stick of their skill: the Central Coast Section team playoffs.

Midway through the winter campaign, Aptos remains the cream of the crop in the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League with a current record of 6-0 in league play.  Meanwhile, standout Bella Hartnett continued her case as the league’s top player with the game’s lone goal...

To be the best, one must beat the best. Aptos might not be there quite just yet as their 2-4 overall record indicates.  However, third-year head coach Denise Russo believes they are right where they need to be at this point of the young 2025 fall...

Reggie Roberts, the Aptos High Mariners wrestling coach for the last 19 seasons, will step down from his post at the conclusion of the upcoming winter season.
