Fourteen local players were selected for tonight’s 34th annual Central Coast High School All-Star football game at Rabobank Stadium in Salinas.

Local Roundup, 7/15: Santa Cruz Generals win Stars and Stripes tournament
The Generals won all four of their games in the tournament. They beat the Team California Bay Area 15U, 2-1, in the championship game.
Girls' CCS Basketball: Aptos plows its way into D-III championship
Pardue scored a game-high 22 points on 6-of-10 shooting from deep, junior guard Hannah Hocom added 18 points and played tough defense on Saratoga High’s top guard and the No. 2-seeded Mariners cruised by the No. 6-seeded Falcons, 61-47, on Wednesday night to return to the D-III final.

PCAL Football: ‘The beast’ named Gabilan M.V.P.
“The beast” beat out a handful of other worthy candidates for the league’s top honor after rushing for 806 yards and 16 touchdowns over seven PCAL-G games. Reyes also starred at inside linebacker for a defense that allowed just 16 points per league game.
