This past Presidents’ Day on Feb. 18, Juan and Paula Diaz had more reason to celebrate than just the national holiday. The date also marked the 10th anniversary of their family restaurant, Cowboy’s Corner Cafe, located on Main Street in Watsonville.

Two Watsonville brothers — one a trained chef and the other a community organizer — plan to reopen a shuttered downtown restaurant to serve New York-style pizza and mugs of craft beer.

Van’s Shoes and Repair on East Lake Avenue is searching for a smaller facility, owner Jim van Lanen said.

Founded in 2008, Monsbey College specializes in affordable training in healthcare careers, such as Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, Pharmacy Technician, Clinical Medical Assistant, EKG Technician, NCLEX Exam preparation and CPR and First Aid.

Grand opening event planned for March.
