Hemp fields OK’d for Pajaro farmlands

Trio to salute 100 years of Nat King Cole
The show, at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center on Aug. 19, will feature an extensive set list of songs by the legendary jazz/pop vocalist and pianist Cole, who is known for hits such as “(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66,” “Nature Boy,” “(I Love Yo) For Sentimental Reason,” “Unforgettable,” and more.
Roger’s Diner to close

The 112-room business, being built by Elite Development Inc. between Beach Road and Riverside Drive, has now reached the insulation, electrical and plumbing phase, said co-owner Juggy Tut. Barring any unexpected hurdles, Tut said he hopes to see the place up and running by the end of the year or in early January. Roof work is slated to be completed in December.
