The Cabrillo College Seahawks dropped their fifth straight game on Saturday night, losing 35-21 to Reedley College on Fry’s Field at Carl Conelly Stadium in Aptos.

With Yniguez leading the way, the Sharks won a share of the PCAL-Cypress crown — the program’s first league title since the 2010-11 season — and advanced to the Central Coast Section Division V semifinals.

In three years, the Aptos Mariners went from a first-round exit in the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League tournament to the program’s first Central Coast Section title in more than 30 years.
